Information on psychiatric conditions and effective treatment approaches. Today we know that most psychiatric illness has a chemical cause, related to the neurotransmitters in our brain. We inherit a genetic predisposition for these illnesses from our family of origin. As a result medications have been developed to reduce or eliminate the symptoms associated with most psychiatric conditions.
