Jill Johnson's Soothing Apporach Benefits Patients

Jill Johnson, MSW, LSW
 Jill has lengthy experience in working with the elderly and issues of aging and development. She also has considerable experience in working with adults, adolescents, and children with a wide range of mental illness diagnoses.

Her ability to build relationships allows clients to work through their recovery process in a comfortable and non-judgmental environment.

She has worked as the Director of Social Services at Asta Healthcare Center in Rockford, IL, the Director of Resident Services at Wesley Willows Retirement Home in Rockford, IL, and is currently employed at Swedish American Hospital in the Center for Mental Health in which she facilitates a family support group, a wellness group, and a psycho-educational group.

Jill has a B.A. Degree in Psychology from Rockford College and a Master of Social Work Degree from Aurora University in Aurora, Illinois.  She has also completed a 2 year extensive internship at Swedish American Hospital Center for Mental Health, South Beloit High School, and the University of Illinois College of Medicine Psychiatry Department in which she gained much experience in individual, group, and family therapy. 

Jill is a Licensed Social Worker in the State of Illinois.

  • Extensive work with individuals dealing with ADHD, Anxiety, Anger, Alcohol and Substance Abuse, Aging, Autism, Asperger’s Disorder, Behavioral Problems, Bi-Polar Disorder, Coping Problems, Depression, Grief and Loss, Parenting, Personality Disorders, Schizophrenia, Schizo-Affective Disorder, Self-Esteem Problems, Self-Injury, and Suicide Prevention.              

    Her experiences have given her a very good understanding of the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of individuals with a psychiatric illness.
